LOGLINE: A sixteen-year-old girl brutally assaulted by her father finds refuge on a horse ranch. With the support of the rancher who has taken her in she builds the courage to charge her father with his crimes, in order to protect another little girl she sees him with. When her father resorts to escalating acts of violence to shut her up, she is ultimately forced to take actions no sixteen year old should ever have to, to save all she has come to love.

LOGLINE: An earnest Social Work student out to ace her PhD at a prison for women is assigned to a “masters” level inmate who quickly shatters any illusion that correction’s theory resembles prison reality.
An actor for over twenty years, Crystal committed to full time writing in 2014. She has had two MOW’s produced and is collecting awards (see below) for her screenplays and plays.
She holds a BFA in Creative Writing from the University of British Columbia, 2009 and a Diploma in Theatre Arts from George Brown College, Toronto.
Crystal loves story editing as much as writing and has a knack for getting writers reconnected with their first impulses. Also known as a structure fiend, she is sought out by her writing peers for editing and coaching on the regular. (see testimonials below)
Her non-fiction has been featured in magazines and periodicals such as The Tyee, The National Post, Equus, Prism, Fugue, Natural Horse and Dressage Today.
Crystal is currently the Lead Instructor for the Writing For Film & Television Program at InFocus Film School.
